INTERNATIONAL SYSTEMS RESEARCH INAUGURATES OFFICE IN SILICON VALLEY

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Tokyo – July 17, 2003 -- International Systems Research (ISR), leader in the development of advanced mobile data technologies, today announced the opening of a commercial office in the United States, continuing its efforts to address the needs of its customers and the global wireless internet market. This action represents the expansion of its existing operations in North America, which were previously dedicated to research and development.

Mobile internet in the U.S. is not as pervasive as in Japan, but Wide Area Networks deployed by the major carriers in 2001 are now reaching service levels that satisfy most business and consumer demands,” stated Dr. Raul Mendez, CEO of International Systems Research. “Our success in Japan enables us to provide U.S. customers with solutions that have been thoroughly tested in a large-scale mobile environment” he added.

The new office is located in Foster City, California, conveniently accessible from San Francisco and San Jose. It will house the new operation, which includes marketing, business development, and sales, as well as the existing research and development unit. Having both R&D and commercial operations will allow International Systems Research to better serve its U.S. customers while developing products that address specific needs of the North American market.

ISR is currently localizing its advanced mobile mail system, @Box, which is scheduled to be launched in the U.S. at the end of this month. The @Box mail system will enable enterprises to provide their employees with secure e-mail access from almost anywhere inside and outside of their corporate network.
