FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tokyo, February 6, 2007 - International Systems Research Co. (ISR), Tokyo-based developer of mobile internet communications software and solutions, released today the PPPhone FMC Enabler Package, a low-cost and easy to deploy mobile IP Telephony kit that expands the portfolio of Network Integrators, Fixed-Line Operators, and Value Added Resellers to enable their customers to benefit from the efficiencies of Fixed-Mobile Converged communications using new generation Windows Mobile Smartphones. Windows Mobile Smartphones are becoming the industry standard in mobile data and telephony because they employ a familiar and stable operating system with desktop capabilities. The PPPhone FMC Enabler Package realizes business IP telephony features on such devices so that employees within the company can carry their phone extension while away from their desk. By integrating desktop applications with the company's telephone system into one device, the handset becomes a powerful and essential business tool. Many solution providers are prevented from deploying FMC communications solutions because their customers fear disrupting the existing phone or data network, or possibly becoming tied to a project whose complexity could get out of control. The PPPhone FMC Enabler Package offers a simple, modular, and low-cost solution for enterprises that prefer to deploy mobile VoIP within specific divisions or departments without disrupting their existing systems. It can be scaled up to meet the needs of the entire organization, and can be upgraded with new features such as mobile Video over IP. PPPhone FMC Enabler Package was assembled by ISR in partnership with Mobile Technika, a leading provider of hardware and software solutions for ubiquitous and unified communications. It is available to enterprise users as a solution to be deployed by Network and System Integrators, Telecom Operators, and Value Added Resellers.
PPPHONE FMC ENABLER PACKAGE Softphone: Creating mobile VoIP applications requires low-level integration on the mobile device to guarantee efficient power consumption, seamless operation, and high voice quality. PPPhone is optimized for best performance on mobile devices, and was created by ISR using the latest IETF SIP standards. It provides advanced mobile IP telephony capabilities on Windows Mobile handsets as well as Desktop and Notebook computers running Windows XP. PPPhone Softphone is a key component of the FMC package and is also available in volume licensing for carrier and enterprise VoIP deployments. VoIP Server: The VoIP server connects the company's data network with the external telephone network (PSTN) and works much like an IP-PBX. The Technika X-Cube SIP Server or the ICOM SR-5200 wireless VoIP router may be selected depending on the customer requirements. They employ a full range of business telephony features with guaranteed interoperability with PPPhone Softphone. Terminals: A variety of Windows Mobile handsets including the HTC X101HT, HTCz, Sharp WZERO3 and Symbol MC50 can be used with the PPPhone FMC Enabler Package. These devices allow the user to employ the preferred network, among Cellular, PHS, or WiFi networks.
